BSMA – Bio Supply chain Management Alliance was born out of the need to create a worldwide community of operations and supply chain management leaders and professionals in the biotech, biopharma, and biomedical device industries.
The association started out in the heart of San Francisco’s sillicon valley, home to several thousand biotech and healthcare companies and some of the most innovative suppliers, but has also been present in Europe since 2016 from its Belgium-based nonprofit entity, which is at the heart of the European Life Science industry and close to some of the biggest markets to which BSMA is connected. All the major European hubs are connected to our ecosystems, whether in France, Germany, Italy, the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, Ireland and many others.
Outside Europe and the USA, BSMA is also active in Asia (India) and Africa, with the aim of bringing global solutions to the industry.
Hundreds of life science companies, renowned industry suppliers and other stakeholders such as wholesalers, hospitals, international organizations and public bodies are part of our community today.
The mission of BSMA is to help supply chain professionals build an effective and efficient supply chain STRATEGY for the Life Sciences industry by developing, advancing, and disseminating best practices, knowledge, and research; to INNOVATE by encouraging and promoting the highest quality and clinical outcomes in patient care and welfare; and, to build a COMMUNITY of thought and practice leaders from the business, professional association and academic sectors for information exchange, shared services, and collaboration.
